I thought both the examples of satires were interesting. They were twisting education into a humorous topic. I think satires like these two examples can teach people how ridiculous our world makes education out to be. Especially the commercial about college life, which I found to be humorous and entertaining. In the commercial they made it seem like college is a joke by saying ridiculous things that go on. PAGE was used in both of the examples on satires. The purpose of the college one was to show how ridiculous people can think in college. College students were the audience and the genre is a commercial. Lastly, engagement was to get people thinking if college needs to be improved. Also PAGE was used in The Animal School example. The purpose was to show how ridiculous things are run in school and what is expected out of people. The audience would probably be younger children and the genre was a fairy tale. The engagement was to get people to understand that everyone can not be good at everything they do. From seeing both of these examples of satires I have learned that they are just made up humorous things to get a point recognized.
